Today international Habbo groups are returning to Habbo.com!

Habbo.com.au groups will be the first to return, with other countries following thereafter if all goes to plan. Discussion forums will also be migrated later.

It's now almost 2 months after the merge, and Sulake failed to bring groups back by their early June deadline. Will Sulake compensate international users for the inconvenience? It seems not.

To celebrate our own HabboZone.com group returning we're planning to hold a few competitions. The first competition, a forum thread spamming competition, has already begun.

The 500th, 1000th and 1500th posters in the spam thread will each receive 50 Habbo.com credits from us! We'll be starting a few other competitions soon so keep an eye on this article and on our Habbo group page.

I'm sure we're all familiar with the Habbo Bots. Well, after working none stop, and only have little breaks when Habbo is down on maintenance, the bots wants in with the Big Wave that is going on in Habbo right now! Everyone needs a break once in a while, even bots. Habbo has organized a little game for us.

Every weekday this week a new bot will be in a Big Wave room practicing their back strokes, but because their not good swimmers they might need our help!

If you see a bot in need, be sure to report it to the lifeguards. 30 random Habbos that successfully save the Bot will be selected to receive a Big Wave Badge everyday!

 

Hey Habbos!

Wow, time has really gone by, hasn't it? From when HabboZone opened in 2006, to when we got a major site update just last year. HabboZone has come a long way in it's big four years in production, different web layouts, to events and games, radio shows, and so much more. Some other things that have changed a lot over the time, is the staff that have worked here, at HabboZone. As always, things have to change, and that's why I would like to update you on some staff changes.

Hey, I'm Vado - writing the news article. I am your brand new, sparkly and shiny Assistant Manager. I will be assisting both Mimz and gibbo in their management, and making sure HabboZone is looking fine and dandy :)

Congratulations to chidiva, for her new position as the Rare Values Manager. She's been here for a while now, and has done an excellent job at maintaining the values, so many congrats to her.

Some sad news now... Both site owner UberSocks and past RV manager 10ex have resigned, going on to bigger and wider things, so good luck to them in the future! :)

I have something exciting to share with you all! A new, and better version of HabboZone is currently getting developed! We can't put a release date on it, just yet, but just you know, we're all working super hard to get it up and running, so just check back for little updates. Woah! Have values started to shift or what!?

Little over a week has passed since the news of the hotels uniting and Habbos everywhere are playing it safe and selling up shop as others cash in on some potential great buys. It would seem that Habbos have become aware of some major contrast between values on different hotels and are buying up in hopes to make some mega bucks.

The big movers this week include the Throne Single jumping up to 30hc and the Typewriter falling to 105hc.  It is becoming more evident that AU players are ditching their Typewriters and stocking up on what is left of the Thrones while some brave souls cling to their beloved Typewriter and hope the storm passes. Turntables have begun their predicted decent and it will be interesting to see how much (if any) they drop before the merge is complete.

A credible mention to the grey and green versions of the fountain family with grey pushing against expectations of it following in the footsteps of the orange parasol with a healthy rise to 5hc along with its green friend who rose to 4hc. Cups also look to be returning to their glory days but with much speculation over their future after the merge.

Seriously though, Habbo is bringing out a new type of HC called VIP (personally, I think they should call it VIH for Very Important Habbo, but, if you read it backwards it adopts a whole different meaning). VIP HC has heaps more benefits and features than standard HC and won't cost anymore than normal HC. However, once VIP HC is released the price of standard HC will go down to an estimated 15credits per month.

I thought the easiest way to explain all of the benefits of becoming  VIP HC member would be a comparative hcart format. I've created the chart below to show the differences between non-HC, HC and VIP HC. Enjoy!

There you have it habbos. I can't tell you when exactly this new VIP HC will be introduced, but I'm taking a stab in the dark. I'm going to say it's coming to Australia on Friday, since the video Ubersocks showed us below had the date 16/04/10. Only time will tell.

Hi there folks!

Just in case you're wondering, this article isn't about a hit TV series; it is about the MASSIVE, GIGANTIC and HUGE changes coming to Habbo hotel. By now you should know that all English speaking hotels are being merged into one awesome super dooper hotel. When I first heard about this idea I was shocked and very negative about it all but I must admit this idea is growing on me.

Basically all Singapore, United States, United Kingdom, Australian and Canadian accounts will be merged to habbo.com. This means that all credits, furni, HC days, names, friends lists, badges, pixels, clothes, rooms etc will be transferred to the new site. However there are a couple of bumps in the road. This merge will change rare values as we know it! If you read the article written by 10ex below you can see that there will be massive increases/decreases in rare values during the transition.

Don't worry too much though as Habbo is handing out compensation packages consisting of new, unreleased, never before seen super rares to owners of supers which value will be severely decreased during the transition. Habbo has stated that they will be releasing further details and photos of these supers at a later date.

The other bump in the road is names! Habbo is aware that people in different hotels have the same name. For example someone in Habbo US is called Sabby3000 and someone in AU is called Sabby3000. Habbo has come up with a solution for this problem which consists of the user that is least active changing his/her name and receiving a name change badge.

In other news Habbo is also definitely releasing new clothes, furni and room layouts (YAY!). You can see the video for the new clothes two articles below (I love the soundtrack in this video by the way).

Well that's all the news I can tell you about now but keep checking this article as I'll be adding updates when I get more information on the 'big merge'!

As you are all aware, all English speaking countries will unite as one hotel and I'm sure you are all wondering how this will affect rare values.

In a News Article today Habbo put forward some answers to some speculations and updated its FAQ's on the matter.

The most reassuring news for those super rare enthusiasts is that habbo will compensate those people who own a super that dramatically lose value due to the hotels uniting. This will be done by Habbo donating a new super rare to those affected that has not been released on any hotels. (You will also be able to keep the item that loses value). Habbo will post a list of supers that will be getting compensated soon along with pictures of the new super rares.

We have compiled a list of items likely to rise and fall when the hotels are united.

Rise In Value: (Values in HCs)

Throne Single: 130 (uk); 210 (ca); 400 (usa); 436 (sg)

The Throne Single is the Typewriter of the other hotels. It is used frequently when trading for expensive items and it is hard to see this trend changing. We might see ourselves move away from the Typewriter as a means of currency and start using the Throne in order to trade with our English speaking neighbours. With the current values of Throne Singles on the other hotels it would be assumed that the value rests somewhere between 100 - 400 HCs, which of course would be great news for Throne owners on AU.

Black Pillow: 273 (uk); 600 (ca); 900 (usa); 17 (sg)

The Black Pillow may be seen as the flop of super pillows on AU but this is not the case on the majority of other hotels who seem to be paying massive prices for this item. Assuming that the Black Pillow is not in mass circulation on the SG hotel we could see this once ugly duckling suddenly blossom into a swan or even a peacock...

Fall In Value:

Speakers Corner: 2.6 (uk); 1 (ca); 2 (usa); 22 (sg)

The Speakers Corner is an item that once wasn't doing so well for itself but over time became loved by casino owners across the AU hotel. This pinnacle item has been on the rise for a while now, although; with the hotels uniting we could see the end of a once great rare. The speakers corner does not seem to be valued by the other hotels, but if you own one of these beauties don't sell at the first offer as a new trend could be coming their way and who knows, we could see the speakers up there with the big guns once again, who knows.. it has happened before.

Petal Patch: 8 (uk); 2 (ca); 3 (usa); 5.8 (sg)

The Petal Patch has been a must have feature in casinos for a long time and with its growing popularity it rose exceptionally to a quite incredible price for something that is traded in bulk. Other hotels do not see the petal patch as such a luxury and have valued it accordingly. They are still found predominately in casinos, although; it seems you will not have to pay as much for this item any more.

Turntable: 8 (uk); 9 (ca); 24 (usa); 9.3 (sg)

Ahh the most unpredictable super rare ever released, the Turntable, or more commonly known, the Dj Deck. Known for its frequent position as a prize for competitions saw it rise and fall as often as an elevator. This item became more loved when Habbos began using it as a substitute for the Typewriter they couldn't afford, however; it would seem the other hotels caught onto this dilemma very soon and put an end to the Turntable and the troubles that came with it.

Could Rise or Fall:

Red Fountain: 120 (uk); 13 (ca); 1100 (usa); 877 (sg)

Blue Fountain: 120 (uk); 15 (ca); 1300 (usa); 294 (sg)

Mixed values for these two fountains could see them shoot towards the stars or plummet like an asteroid. Keep your eye on these two!

It would seem that we have tough times ahead, however don't just sit there and wait to be told what to do, research the rares you own and their values on the other hotels to find out what action you need to take. Untill Habbo finalises their plans and solutions to the present problems we are facing, try not to be tempted into selling your once prized possessions.

A new video has been let loose on the interwebs, and this one is pretty exciting for anyone who likes having a selection of clothing to choose from in the hotel!

On April 16th, 2010 we can expect to see the new clothing shown in the video below as well as a bobbaload of new HC furni! Man oh man, Habbo Club members will be getting so much new stuff... I hope the non HC Habbo users aren't left out from the fun!

I've got some great news. Habbo's in the process of designing new clothing. If any of you filled out the recent 'fashion survey' Habbo conducted, one of the questions was "Would you like to see brand named clothing in Habbo?". I think making brand named clothing is exactly what they're doing.

If you look at the picture below in detail, you can see in the right hand side a picture of a Habbo wearing a snake. It also looks like Habbo is working on designing new hair styles and shoes. Whatever they're creating it definitley looks interesting. However, there's down side, we may have to pay for them.

There has been a lot of talk in Habbo over the last couple of days about a sensational new feature called a Habbo ID. A Habbo ID is a new way of stopping Hackers and makes it easier for users to log in. Basically a Habbo ID just changes your username to your email address. However your Password will stay the same. This makes it easier to log in because you don't need to remember your account name, and stops hackers because they need to know your e-mail address before they have any chance of cracking your password. This means you shouldn't give out your e-mail address to strangers. If you have a MSN account I highly recommend that you use a different e-mail address for your Habbo account. I once used the same e-mail address for all my accounts on the internet. One day someone on Habbo asked for my msn and I gave it to them. Then my sister asked me "Why are you asking me your date of birth?". I was in my room watching TV and had no idea what she was talking about. It was then that I realised someone had hacked into my MSN account and was using it to get personal details about me from friends so they could get into my other accounts like Paypal and Habbo. I changed my password numerous times to stuff people could never guess like '11golfteddy10' but somehow they still kept getting into my account; and no it wasn't because I had a keylogger. In the end I had to contact police and MIcrosoft to get my whole account deleted and start again. But you won't even be using a Habbo ID if your signing in using Facebook, MSN, Myspace, Google, Twitter, Yahoo or Hyves. Overall it should be very easy to get used to signing in with a Habbo ID. Although I have found one problem with this idea; what are they going to do with people that have more than one account on their e-mail address and use a different password for each account? Everyone with a verified e-mail should automatically receive a Habbo ID on Monday.

However, that's not the only thing that happens on Monday; a recent e-mail sent out by Fozzie had some great news! An article named 'Be There Or Be Pollinated' said "Log in to Habbo on Monday March 29 to receive a surprise gift! We can't say much about it now, but trust me, you don't wanna miss out." I have no idea what the surprise is going to be but I'm pretty sure the new giant plant furniture range will be released that day. The title saying 'Pollinated' proves that theory even more.

But you don't have to wait until Monday for some action. Habbo is celebrating Earth Hour tonight.  If you log into Habbo after 9:30pm AEDT and go to either the Opera House, Star Lounge or Habbo Library and fill out a quick survey you will receive an Earth Hour Badge to add to you collection.

There's some BIG news beloved habbozone readers. Rares look like they might be making a return. The first indication of this was a comment made by Tootsweets on Habbo's facebook page stating "The countdown is on until March 29". Another message confirmed this stating "Fee-fi-fo-fum! Mystery new Furni item spotted! Could it be the next new Rare?". Now, I'm not saying that there is definitely going to be a return of rares, but, it is almost certain that something is going to be released on Monday the 29th. I think it is going to be something along the lines of a giant beanstalk. Now when I first heard giant beanstalk I thought 'what the bobba? A giant beanstalk in a hotel?'. However, after seeing a video of what may be a future rare it looks pretty cool. I hope Habbo doesn't make you sell a cow to afford this rare, I'm estimating it will be more around 25 credits marker. Afterall where could you find a cow in habbo?!? Well that's all I can speculate on for now. If I get anymore new information though, I'll be sure to post it.

Update (25/03/10): Some curious Habbo's cracked the password to the 'Trek Final' room, and caught a glimpse of what the new furni range is going to look like. Luckily I was among those curious Habbo's, and I was absolutely amazed at the sheer size of the new beanstalk. It looks exactly like the picture shown below, but you have to see it in a room to really appreciate its intricate artwork and size. But I've got better news; there was a sticky in that room that said if 200 Habbo's fill out a form by midnight the rare would be released tomorrow morning! which is today. Since the room has 419 ratings, I'm almost certain that 200 Habbo's would have filled out the form. So keep a look out for Jack because he might be coming down his beanstalk sometime today.

Update (25/03/2010): I'm pleased to announce that my predictions were correct, and the new rare was released today for a price of 25 credits. You can now buy it in the catalogue and receive a magic bean badge. If you don't receive your badge straight away don't worry! log in and out of Habbo and it should be there. They don't just call it a 'rare' for no reason; the giant beanstalk is only available until April 1st, after that date it will never be released again. Even though it costs 25 credits now, it may be worth over 250 credits in the future.

Yes that's right, it's time to announce the new rare valuers!

First of all, apologies for taking this long to announce the new valuers. But truth be told, there where so many great applications, choosing just three was almost impossible! Luckily in the end we where able to make a decision and without further-a-doo, the new rare valuers are:

On March 18th during the maintenance, the Habbo Staff were developing a whole new update. This made significant changes to Habbo Club, commonly known as HC, by altering the furniture reward system. The new update allows you to choose what Habbo Club gift you want after every month finishes. However, you must of course be a part of the Habbo Club to earn these gifts.

The only way you can earn a Habbo Club gift is by earning Gift Points. Every month you will earn 1 Gift point, once you have that point you can either go straight to the Habbo Catalogue (must be logged into your account to do so), and use it straight away on the gift you want, or, you can save up! Here's how it goes:

1 month of Habbo Club = 1 Gift Point

1 Gift Point = 1 Habbo Club furni

If you are not a part of the Habbo Club become a member today and make use of this fabulous new feature!

Habbo has released a new pet for "The Boar of Baskerville" campaign. You can now purchase The Boar from the catalogue for just 20 credits. But that's not all; Habbo has also released some creepy furni in the catalogue too.

In other news, Habbo has changed the animation on their "Digital TV" to a rather amusing cat and mouse skit. You can check it out in one of my rooms if you don't own one.

There has also been a lot of competition winners over the last couple of days; there was Comedy Quiz winners, Horror Quiz Winners, Myth Buster Winners and a Spotted winner. Be sure to check them out, you could be a winner and not even know it.

HabboZone's hosting account was suspended because of an erroneous accusation that we are an emulation Habbo Hotel website. This may seem like a very far-fetched story, but, that's the truth of it. To make it clear to all viewers, HabboZone and it's team does NOT endorse or condone any "retro" Habbo Hotel emulators. Why would you want to play one of them when you can get the real thing?

After we screamed for a short while due to the seriousness and stupidity of the situation we contacted Sulake and affirmed our position as a law-abiding, Habbo-loving fan site. It took some time, but eventually the mistake was realised and our suspension was lifted. We've requested on behalf of our community that Sulake conduct an enquiry into their current DMCA process and revise as necessary.

Fortunately, Habbo has decided to re-release the Rare Cinema Chair for just 20 Credits! That's not all; if you buy it from the catalogue before the 18th of March you will also score a free Webbies Duck and can go into the draw to win one of two Habbo cut-outs signed by the staff! 20 Runners up will also win a Habbo Beach Ball and USB. Some of you may have seen some naked Habbos walking about or cloned pets but don't worry as Habbo is aware of the issue and the techies are working on it.

Last but not least I encourage you to change your Habbo password about once a month. A strong password should contain atleast one UPPERCASE and lowercase letter and some numbers and should be about 8-12 Characters.

Also, I will be hosting another game of HabboZone Terminator on Wednesday at 9PM AEDT. The game goes for 15-45 minutes depending on how many rounds we play. The prize is usually a 20 credit sack. Don't worry as the rules are simple and will be explained in detail on the night of the event.

As you may or may not have noticed, HabboZone's been having some maintenance downtime every now and again since the beta site went up. That's because we're adding cool features!

As HabboZone is most relied upon for its Furni Values, that's what we've been focusing on first and foremost. So how has it improved from the old site? As of tonight, we've given the Furni Values a much cleaner and better looking layout and values for all items are now shown in Typos, HC's and credits!

We've got more stuff in the works including a more powerful Furni Value search box too.  Once again a huge thanks goes to gibbo for his dedication to coding all of this!

We're back and beta than ever! (c wut I did thar?)

That's right, gibbo has been hard at work coding with his fingers flying across the keyboard so fast that the letters are almost all rubbed off and the new HabboZone has finally been squeezed out the end into a beta stage.

As all beta things go, there's sure to be some bugs here and there so feel free to contact us via the link in the footer and let us know if you find one. Also as you may have noticed, for now there's only News and Rare values on here. Due to various technical difficulties we're still ironing out some of the other sections and we'll put those up asap.
